Earthquake!

Woot! I finally felt one. 5.9 on the Richter scale to be exact. Normally I have to really think, "Was that an earthquake? Or a train?" Growing up in the Bay Area on marshland and near railroad tracks kind of made me immune to shakes. Or at least some small ones.

Earthquake map centered at 33°N,116°W

You may not believe it, but I remember the 1989 earthquake that happened in the Bay Area. True I might've been 2 years old. But I really do. It was pretty traumatic. And it's not one of those cases where grown-ups tell you their memory of it and then you're thinking, "Yeah, I do remember." Not the case.

Oh California... In a few thousand years, you'll be on your own. Literally. You'll be ripped asunder from the mainland.
