FarmVille... my new addiction?

Damn you Facebook and your bevy of applications. The latest application that has now diverted time from my usual falking (falking = Facebook stalking, courtesy of T) is this FarmVille. Oh making money from the good ol' agricultural ways that were the foundations of great civilizations and now the experience has been animated into a little game that simplifies the process. I blame my brothers for this addiction. At least with Facebook quizzes I get to discover what type of girl I am, how well I know my obscure lines from Disney movies, and the name of the guy I am going to marry (It's Kelly by the way, do I know any guys named Kelly?).

I don't know why I find it so appealing. You have to wait for your crops to ripen (some of them take days) and you earn coins. You earn money when you harvest crops and milk your cow but there is an option where you can add coins and cash. I checked out this option, maybe see if there were missions or objectives you can fulfill in order to get more funds. No. It just gets really sad. You actually use real money to purchase the fake money for this fake farm game. Who does this?!?! It's a game. How seriously do some people take it?

Old Lizbeth had a farm, E-I-E-I-O. And on this farm she had a cow, E-I-E-I-O... no? Too much? Well just a wee bit.

It's cute, and it's something to check on every 4 hours (if you're growing strawberries). I don't know what's required to "win" this thing, but it's something to kill time while I continue my search for employment. Oh when will this search end?
